...it's like finding yourself in a pitch black room. A room you've never been in. No light, no familiarity of surroundings. Just yourself , your thoughts...the sound of your heartbeat. The objective is simple: escape. Escape without using your eyes...your senses are all you have left. You begin to take small steps, careful not to go too fast...you have no idea what lies in front of you. You touch every object...feeling their textures, their shapes...trying to grasp what exactly you're dealing with at that very moment. Every object is critical to finding your path in this void where frame of reference doesn't exist...only your mind's interpretation of it's surroundings. Your pulse quickens as you stumble...frustration begins to set in. You understand the goal, you understand that survival is the only option...you have to escape. But your slowed progress only angers you as your mind struggles to understand. You have now become your worst enemy...

You must survive, but is the task too great? You begin to question your own motives. What's the point? What's the purpose of this? Why can't I just turn on the lights? This would be so much easier if the path were defined. It's not...this is what you've got to work with son...

Keep going, or give up? These are the questions that must be answered. Even if you make it out of here alive, what's the point? The world is filled with dark places...what's not to say you just won't end up in another one? Even if you make it out alive, does it really matter in the end? Does it really matter that you survived?

Does anyone hear this? Or is this all in my head...
